Transport & Maps

The primary method of public transportation is by Transperth bus or train. You can go to the Transperth website and easily plan your journey.

To buy a bus ticket, board the bus from the front door. Tell the bus driver where you want to go. Ticket cost depends on how far you're going, i.e. "zones". Take the ticket and take a seat. Generally you should get out via the back door. Some tickets are reusable within two hours.

To buy a train ticket, use the automatic ticket machine at the station, then board the train. Simply keep the ticket in your pocket in case of inspection. Likewise, some tickets are reusable within two hours.

The central city has several CAT bus systems - these are free and can take you around town.
